About

When my daughter Maya was 15 months old, I decided to quit my job as a writer for a mutual fund company and stay at home with her. I joined a playgroup of other mothers I met through a “mommy and me” music class, and was lucky enough to enjoy the companionship and camaraderie of those women for 4 fulfilling years until my husband’s job moved us across the country. This blog is my ode to the playgroup — through good nights of sleep and bad, fevers and croup, we were there for one another chatting about everything from husbands to celebrities as our kids played. I’m about 3000 miles away from the playgroup these days but wanted to have a place to share whatever mom-oriented things popped into my head.

Any thoughts you might have about the blog or a particular post are very welcome.
